Aurora Staples Inn is the perfect place to relax, celebrate special occasions,

All rooms feature private bathrooms and gas fireplaces. Our “Comphy” sheets are highly appreciated by guests, so much so that we offer them for sale!
Additionally, our spacious rooms are equipped with air conditioning, soft robes, spa amenities, internet access, and refreshing beverages. Some rooms offer views of the St. Croix River.
This room is mesmerizing…it is surrounded by windows, this Eastlake period-designed room welcomes you with a cozy gas fireplace, a TV and a whirlpool tub/shower. The bed is extremely comfortable and enjoy soft sheets from Comphy. Relax and Rest!

One good thing that happened during the pandemic in 2020, was Rachelle & Eddie were married! Love triumphed over the pandemic and they both enjoy running the inn together!

Breakfast:
Due to COVID-19 outcomes, supplies and rising costs, Aurora Staples Inn has made the decision to move from a Bed & Breakfast to more of an AirBnB model. We still take breakfast seriously although we no longer serve breakfast at the Inn. Instead we offer a gift certificate voucher or gift-card to one of the fabulous dining establishments in Stillwater for you to enjoy during your stay!
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the following restaurants with your reservation:
Monday-Tuesday: Guests will receive a gift card to Oasis Cafe or Mon Petit Cheri for each day of your stay (a $30 value)
Wednesday-Sunday: Guests will receive a breakfast-voucher for each day of your stay to the Historic Lowell Inn (a $30 value).
We no longer serve Wine/Beer trays at the Inn but offer ADD-ONS to your reservation for an additional fee if you’re interested, such as, Red/White wine from a local winery (St. Croix Vineyards) and delicious handmade chocolate covered strawberries and raspberries stuffed with blueberries, and more.
Health & Safety Protocols
Safety continues to be our first priority. We aim to protect our employees and guests, so we ask if you have an existing reservation and you are feeling sick or have symptoms of COVID19, please reschedule or cancel. We continue to have high standards of service and health protocols. We have increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols, etc. Because of this, we cannot allow an early check-in. Please respect our check-in hours.
We now offer Contactless Check-in and Contactless Check-outs – we’ll contact you a few days before your reservation with an entry passcode number and instructions will be in the rooms. This is a new service we started offering since the COVID-19 Pandemic and it’s been a hit with our guests.
Because we are a small Inn in a small town, with a handful of rooms, we must limit the number of guests per room to two. Weddings and receptions are currently on hold.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at the Aurora Staples Inn 4 times since 2021, we've turned it into an annual tradition that always sincerely look forward to. We stay in the carriage house and find it to be so cozy & perfectly private. … More I'd recommend staying in the cooler months because then you really get to enjoy the fireplace and coziness of it all. The B&B is a short walk to downtown Stillwater which makes it so easy to come and go. Rachelle has been easily accessible the once or twice we've needed anything and we find her business to be so accommodating. If you're thinking of booking, just do it! Also make sure you utilize the gift card to oasis cafe - soooo delicious!

We had a lovely night staying at the Carriage House. Very close to downtown to go for dinner and drinks, but apart enough to keep it quiet and relaxing at night.

Beautiful room - we stayed in the Carriage House and loved that it was more private. The rooms were beautiful and the location was great. We could walk downtown and saved ourselves having to find parking.
